  15. MS-DOS Kermit 3.15 Beta 7 is now available for testing.  New features:
  16.  
  17. Assign/define/undefine/_assign/_define modified for array name syntax.  All
  18. permit expressions and variables within the [index] field.  Assign, define,
  19. and undefine do not permit substitution in the array name of \&<character>;
  20. _assign and _define do permit it.
  21.  
  22. Add keyword IF to the list for CHECK.  CHECK IF always succeeds, indicating
  23. the script programming language is present.
  24.  
  25. Add UNDEFINE variable/macro to undefine an item.  This is the same as the
  26. DEFINE command with no definition text.
  27.  
  28. Add XECHO <string> to display the <string> without adding CR/LF.
  29.  
  30. Add variable \v(connection) which always returns string "local".

  32. Add function \fbasename(filename) which returns the filename without is drive
  33. letter and path prefix.
